Links to sites external to British Airways should be opened in a new browser window, set to a size which does not obscure the ba.com window.
Where a link is provided to an external site, it is a legal requirement that it be obvious to customers that they are no longer on the site linked from (e.g. ba.com), and that therefore different terms and conditions may apply.
A subsidiary of BA DOES count as a separate site.
Usually the act of opening in a new window, and the different design of the remote site will be sufficient warning. However, where there is increased possibility of confusion, a ‘div’ window must be used to inform the customer that they are going to another site, which will include a button that the customer must click on in order to progress.
URL styles for non ba.com sites
It is permissible to link to non ba.com sites with a url of the form http://ba.com/[external site name]
